lazy sunday afternoon

The sun was out today. I was cooking a veg stock for potato and leek soup, and the said soup. I love the look of leeks – the gradient as the yellow turns to the richer green when you cut closer to the green tips – it is the combination of my loves of art, colour design and order. I was inspired to take a few quick snaps. All shot in RAW, f 5.7 with shutter set to slightly underexpose the image, edited in CameraRAW to adjust the white balance to bring out the greens of the leek and clarity set to 20 (thanks to a tip fromΒ Cooking Without Limits)

I am happiest with the anemone alien looking ones from the roots!
